Stay outside your vehicle and do not re-enter it during fueling. If you do re-enter your vehicle during fueling, touch a metal part of your vehicle with your bare hand before touching the pump nozzle. When dispensing fuel into a portable container, place the container on the ground. Containers should never be filled while inside a vehicle or it's trunk, the bed of a pick-up truck, or the floor of a trailer. Only store gasoline in state and federally approved containers. Only licensed drivers should pump fuel.
